Poopy Boots 4 Months ago
|
|
Question for you all.
So I am leaving for an early Turkey Day with the in-laws in AZ and I will be leaving my beloved Pequop for 3 days. Now, every day I have to soak Pequop in water to get rid of her poopy boots from her previous night of crazy wheelin'. I was explaining this to my mother who is going to be watching Pequop and she was shocked about how much care and attention these hedgies take. What would happen if my Mother didn't take care of the poopy boots every day for those 3 days? Would it be bad? Would this make for problems on her wheel running at night?

Well probably not just depends on how bad it is. My female does the same thing. I keep wishing she didn't but well you know how that goes. I've just resigned myself to cleaning the cage, her and her wheel often.

Well, I have 11 hedgies... I don't have time to give everyone feet baths every morning... sorry to say, but it's just not posssible! LOL! They do fine without the feet baths. I Do give those with REALLY BAD poopy boots a foot bath if it is needed... but generally... no.. no foot baths here! So your hedgie would be fine for 3 days without a foot bath.

I hear ya, I have 14 suggies and 3 hedgies so nope I don't have time for foot baths either and my little poopy boots does just fine. I do try to clean her wheel out often though. I'm sure for 3 days she will be fine.

My girl gets a foot bath every other day, unless she has got really pooy boots in the night.
So ill think your one will be fine with 3 days, just make sure the wheel is cleaned.

Maybe this is why I LOOOOOOVE HHW!! We love our babies!
I am on day 3 of my "vacation" and I am DYYYYYYINNNNNGGGGGGGGGG. I miss her so very much. The husband walks up to me constantly with "cupped" hands and says to me "what is missing?". IT KILLS ME, and I actually snapped at him because I am constantly thinking about her and his little jokes aren't helping . I have one more day to go until I snuggle again with my love.
One.
More.
Day.

My hedgie is kind of prissy, he seems to get all the poopies off his boots!!!
So CUTE!!!!
My boys are prissy at my house, my border collie does NOT like the mud, AT ALL, oh well, they may act like girls, but at least I don't have to do many baths!!!

May I ask what "Poopy boots" are?
I've never owned a hedgie before so that's why I have no clue what you're all talking about.
AND! How do you give them a foot bath?

"Poopy boots" are basically just dirty feet. When the hedgie poops on it's and wheel and continues running (as most hedgehogs will) their feet get poopy.
