haha, that's so cute! =) I've discovered if I get mine out as he is he'll go crazy running up and down and climbing over me. However, if I get him out in his hedgie bag, he'll have a sniff of me, gio back to sleep, and then after a bit crawl out and snuggle into my jacket next to me, either curling up or splatting himself out, while I watch tv. =) It's the only way I can snuggle with him, though it invariable involves me and the floor covered with sawdust shavings.
