My hedgehog, Julius, is getting pretty chubbby (he can still roll up so he's not crazy obese yet) but he doesn't seem to have any interest in running on a wheel. Is there anything I can do to promote exercise? What do you do with a hedgie who doesn't want to run on a wheel?

See if he likes to swim or use a run around ball. If you have more than one kind of wheel, see if he prefers a different style wheel too

I let mine run around the tub or a well vacummed living room (learned that after he dug under the couch and came out chewing a dead bug...ick)
Some love their wheels, like my squee, some like to just run around. Experiment a bit and see what he likes best.
