Re:Flying Saucer Wheel 1 Year ago
Someone was talking about this in another post... there are some concerns for the way some hedgies have to run on them... they have to cross thier legs as they run, which can possibly cause leg and joint problems.

This didn't seem to be as much of a problem with the smaller hedgies, but the larger ones DID have the cross over problem.

You can lead a hedgehog to prune juice, but you can’t make him drink it.
Nor would you want to.

Even if the legs aren't crossing, I still think it's a poor choice due to the uneven surface...

Re:Flying Saucer Wheel 5 Months, 1 Week ago
My hedgie loves this wheel, it was my last choice to give her but ive tryed 5 different types of wheels and she didnt use any of them, the moment i put this one in her cage she does not get it off it.

I havent noticed her having to cross her legs when she runs and the top has never come off when shes running.

I just think i have a very fussy hedgie, as she either really likes something and will not stop playing with it, or she just walks pass it and doesnt look twice at it.

Re:Flying Saucer Wheel 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
When i fist got my hog i had a saucer wheel because it was so cheap but what ended up happening to Odis was that he grew and was to big for it and kept falling off, even though he was persistent. This wheel also leaves uneven nails. My hedgie only ran one way on the wheel that left longer nails on one side. Since then i have upgraded.

May I ask what you upgraded to?
I thought the Flying saucer would be great, since I read this I've been proven wrong!
