Quilling - Things to look out for? 6 Months, 1 Week ago
I picked up my new hedgie yesterday and hes so small, they said he's about 14 weeks but hes way to small for that age so guessing maybe 10 weeks.

Just need to know what are the signs that hes quilling?
as i got my 1st hedgie when she was 5 months so i didnt go through this with her.

What can i do to help him through this?
is there anything else as babbies i should look out for keep an eye one?

I noticed this morning that he has diarhea, put im putting this down to the stress in the change of enviroment but will keep an eye on this.

Sorry for so many questions, just want to make sure i do my best for my new little fellar.

Warm baths seemed to help my little girl when she was quilling. Good Luck

Some hedgies get grumpy when they are quilling and others don't seem to mind it much. If there are lots of loose quills falling out and you can see new ones poking through the skin then you know they are quilling. If he seems grumpy and is scratching, then you could give him an oatmeal bath or put a couple of drops of oilve or vitamin e oil in a bath. They are usually done with quilling at around 8-12 weeks but sometimes it will go longer so he could be 14 weeks I suppose. You can't really tell age by their size.
