Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/02/18 12:23 I use every day wet babies toilet for my hedgies...to clean their feet, and softly the body...the belly, their anal zone...
Then I donīt need to bath them frequently!!!
It is a good idea for me!!!
I use them without perfum!!!

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/02/18 17:32 baby wipes can be great for quick cleanups on the hedgehog, and also on the hedgehogs' cage and wheel! Always great to be reminded of tips though.

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/02/19 18:52 Oh yea, I use them every day for the wheel and poopy feet. The parents choice unscented wipes from Walmart are inexpensive and work great. Cyn and Hedgie Boys

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/10/11 11:56 You're lucky- I wish something that easy would work for my guy's wheels. I have to scrub and scrape with hot water to get that crap off. *~*Steph*~*

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/10/11 18:42 cooking spray - I already have a hedgie that keeps sliding out of his new slippery wheel? Oh, and my duct tape idea to make treads is only working for the hedgehog but not for the human beings who walk by and detect that duct tape holds the smell of urine even after good washings.

Has anyone tried that cling wrap yet for easy clean up on wheels?

Ok Joy, I have been holding back on this story but since you brought up issues with slippery, messy, stinky wheels I will have to tell it. While on my unending search for an easy way to clean wheels or better yet keep them clean I had a sort of a ummm for lack of better term "brain storm". MAXI PADS yes I said it...MAXI PADS!!!! Stick em on the wheel and then just peel them off and throw away in the morning... hahahahaahah it worked like a charm. Although a little unorthodox,,,,it did the trick Oh by the way the MAXI THINS WITH WINGS are the best

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/10/12 05:10 LOL!!!!!! Sorry guys! I tried to hold back and not tell that story but just couldnt help myself! They really do work and the hedgehog loves how soft and cushy the running wheel is. Julie Pierce

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/10/12 08:45 I will try it, are we talking maxi's for absorbency or the thin liners which would help the traction problem

funny you should mention this for hedgies, my girlfriend's five year old son asked what they were one day and she told them a 'mouse mattress'.

Re:Wet Baby Toilet - 2007/10/12 11:56 ZOMG Julie you are my goddess! This is a great idea... I don't know why I never thought of this! I've tried the press n seal and it didn't work, it came right off. I thought about the cooking spray, but I didn't want the hedgies ingesting that. But maxi pads? What a good idea- if they can be found extremely cheaply! I'll just have to find some that are wide enough to cover the wheel *~*Steph*~*

I can just imagine your Christmas tree this year Julie!

That's just hilarious, though I'm not too sure about the heart earings, they are just a little bit.......

I've been trying to figure out why Lucy won't wheel. She hasn't wheeled in about 8 months. Looks like I'll be sticking some maxi pads on her wheel!
