Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/11 15:36 I am very excited! Today, my fiance and went down and adopted a new baby girl! We named her Coco because she has this VERY dark, large mask that covers most of her face- I've never seen one quite like it... I'd love to know if it's common or not to have such a large, dark mask!

She did fairly well on the way back... Puked a little in the carrier, but her poop looked healthy and not even green! We'll see what happens tonight though being her first night home.

Yay for new babies! <3

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/12 02:01 Ummm I don't think he even knows she exists yet . We are keeping them in separate rooms for a quarantine period and washing hands in between touching each hedgie. But if he's like most animals, even though she's in the house, he'll prolly smell her sooner or later *~*Steph*~*

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/18 13:41 Okay so all the pics are blurry because she's SO DARN QUICK!

But here's a video I took of her:

http://s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb272/aislinsadia/?action=view¤t=MVI_0817.flv

You can hear me scold my cat Kimiko in the background because she was going to try and walk on Cocoa. Kimi has a tendancy to lay on/walk on the hedgehogs, despite them adequately warning her beforehand. She just doesn't get why they are so upset at her for laying all over them

Enjoy!

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/18 14:01 Coco!!! What a cutie.

I just got a hedgie and named her Cocoa... of course, this particular hedgie is a stuffed animal/hand puppet. Satin doesn't seem to know quite what to make of it.

I love how your girl climbed right up the cushion... right to where the cat was. That's one brave little hedgie!

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/18 17:34 Thanks everyone . I will definitely keep you guys updated on how they progress after quarantine is over!

Smhufflepuff that's cute you named the puppet Cocoa... Yeah, I missed the "a" in her name a couple of times I think because I was so excited about her

Congrats on your soon to be family member! Be sure to post pics! The waiting part is so hard!

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/20 10:08 Just wanted to say that she is absolutely gorgeous, I just love her colouring! would really like to get a dark little girl like her but I haven't managed to find any UK breeders that have any of her colouring.

If anyone knows of any, or there are any UK breeders on here that have had litters like this please contact me, I'd be interested.

Thanks and congrats on your new baby

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/23 07:42 The cats are really interested in them... They love watching the hedgies, and sometimes try to sneak a paw to "pet" them, but hedgehog quills always get the best of them *~*Steph*~*

Re:Introducing Miss Coco! - 2008/01/23 18:49 your hedgie is absolutey adorable! one of my cats is actually really terrified of omelette. she won't go near her and she just kinda runs away. but emery (my other cat) is really interested. he gets really excited and tries to pounce on her, or "pet" her. but always retracts his paw after feeling her quills.
