Boy hedgies sure are *speshul* - 2008/03/29 11:46 Okay, so I had Noodles out last night, and we were hanging out being cozy on the couch together under my blanket. So I peek in on him after he's settled for awhile and I pick him up in my hands. He's acting very calm, and I notice a bulge in the skin between his penis and his tail.... So I think maybe something is wrong? Well as I look under him, I discover he's actually just fine. It's just that he's never done this when I had him out or when he was IN MY HANDS. I held him for a little longer, he was fine seeing as I had disturbed him, but I noticed he had a little goo coming out so I wiped it off and set him back down. That's when I noticed he had gotten it on both of my hands too. I guess Noodles is just really comfortable with me now which is nice and all but... I guess it's just his way of showing the love. *~*Steph*~*

Re:Boy hedgies sure are *speshul* - 2008/03/29 13:55 Yeah I don't really expect replies here, I just thought I'd share a little funny story lol. Hopefully too potential owners of boy hedgehogs will get to know a little bit better what they are getting themselves into . Noodles has done his thing in private plenty of times, but he's never done it in my hands, nor while he's out with me. That was certainly a first . *~*Steph*~*

Re:Boy hedgies sure are *speshul* - 2008/04/05 10:45 If it helps you are NOT the only one with this problem. Harley is misbehaving in the most embarrassing ways. I asked in the breeding forum if letting him breed would help but they said it doesn't. I guess you just wait this out.

I thought he just had it for me but my boyfriend had Harley in his lap last night and I heard him say, "Oh my God!" Apparently Harley likes his shoulder as well. It's a good thing he's so cute. My baby boy is bad to the bone. LOL! Other than that though he's a perfect angel.

Re:Boy hedgies sure are *speshul* - 2008/04/06 18:53 Oh man. The first time this happened to me was also a little shocking/gross. I noticed extra "movement" from Ham's hedgie bag and took him out and rolled him over... and . My friend just happened to look over just then as well. At first we both got a little scared and thought something was wrong and then I quickly caught on. I just went and put him away for the night, he clearly needed alone time. Check out Ham's Blog !
