No running? - 2008/04/15 09:48 Bea hasn't been running on her wheel as much as usual...I think shes a little too cold...The temperature in her room fluctuates too much because of the crazy Memphis whether...I suppose I should get her a heating pad??? Mommy loves...

Re:No running? - 2008/04/15 09:59 Spring and fall seem to be the worst around here for trying to keep everybody happy temperature wise. The temperature swings outside make it hard to keep the inside temp consistent. If you don't have a heat pad, I would get one just to have on hand. Is her underside cool to the touch? If so, warm her up using your body heat or a warm towel from the dryer. Ann

Re:No running? - 2008/04/18 10:40 No kidding about the teperature swings. I got home from work a few weeks ago, and the temperature had dropped so quickly that the heating system couldn't keep up. It was 62 degrees in our apartment. I FREAKED! It was 2:30 in the morning, and i had my work uniform on. I scooped up the hedgie and ran to the bathroom, shedding clothing as i went. I turned on the shower, and jumped in, hedgie and all. We stayed in that bathroom for at least 40 minutes. I let the shower and a closed door warm the room up. She spent that night wrapped in a blankie tucked under my comforter. Let me tell you, sleeping with hedgies is a pricarious game. She turned out fine, but man I was really scared.

Re:No running? - 2008/04/19 12:28 Seems like the temperature has been changing a lot lately. And I live in Texas where the saying is, "If you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes." It got down to about 60 degrees last night. I was so worried Omelette was going to freeze (because heck I was freezing). But she didn't seem to mind it at all. She was running on her wheel all night as usual. But I turned up the heat just in case. Lisa
