clipping? - 2005/03/22 07:38 my uncle who had hedgehogs b4 said i should clip George's quills....is that alright? do any of you guys do that?

Re:clipping? - 2005/03/22 14:07 Are you sure he said quills and not nails. Their toe nails need cutting or they can curl around into the pads of their feet.
Quills certainly do not need clipping.

Re:clipping? - 2005/03/23 10:43 Quills do not need to be clipped, it's a Hedgehogs main line of defense, not to mention it would make the animal look horrible, and be tantamount to abuse. Nails on the other hand, as stated by Nancy, do need clipped on a regular basis.

Re:clipping? - 2005/03/29 16:32 I would definately not clip the tips of the hedgehog quills. It is unnecessary if you spend time to get your hedgehog socialized properly.
