Angry Hedgie? - 2007/12/03 23:08 For the past couple days, Lance (my hedgie) has been biting quite a bit, averaging 2-3 times a day. He has drawn blood a few times, too. Today I took him out of his cage, put him on a blanket and let him wander around a bit. He seemed agitated and started attacking the blanket. I put him back in his cage after about 20 mins. Thing is, he scored 1.5 (near perfect) on Pogstars Hedgehog Temperament Test. What's wrong? Thanks.

P.s: Pet store said he was about 2-3 months old.

Re:Angry Hedgie? - 2007/12/04 01:23 How's his health? is he eating and drinking? What about the temperature around his cage? If he's too cool and on the verge of hibernation, he could be cranky and not feeling well.

Have you changed laundry detergent lately or gotten a new lotion or perfume? He may be reaction to a smell he doesn't like.

My last guess would be that maybe he has an injury that is bothering him and gets agitated when you take him out.

Re:Angry Hedgie? - 2007/12/04 02:10 Does he start licking before biting? Quent will nip after licking at my hand or arm or leg (ouch -_-) before he annoints. Jessica
