males and babies - 2007/03/01 15:15 i have read all these articles about when the females have the babies... and it never touches on the topic of the males and new borns. my hedgies aren't kept together but there are people out there... who do. the person i rescued my hedgies from. my question i guess is are the males agressive towards newborns or are they like males rats who anytime when there are babies are good dads.
thanks ya'll

Re:males and babies - 2007/03/01 21:18 My two boys can't be left with each other. Herbie definitely wishes to do Snow harm. I cannot imagine putting either one of them in a cage with babies in it. They don't seem to mind being side by side in cages but cannot be in the play pen together at all. Cyn and Hedgie Boys

Re:males and babies - 2007/07/03 20:59 The male may try to eat the babies. Also, years ago when I had a pair of hedgehogs, my female had babies and tried to kill the male. She would grab onto him and push him around. Amanda
