New Babies - 2007/07/05 22:05I thought I would post pictures of my new babies. I have a total of 7 babies. I know for sure 1 is a boy and 2 are girls (one mommy let me touch them already). I don't know about the other 4. Their mommy is being huffy, even when i just walk in the room, so I didn't want to risk trying to touch them. I had the one set of babies out tonight for a minute. They are so cute! The one little girl has sharp quills already!

Is that a clear hut in the pic with the mom? If so, where did you get it, it looks way cool!

Re:New Babies - 2007/07/05 23:54Actually, they are all about the same age. The one litter was born July3, the other July5. It's amazing how fast the quills come in. The bottom picture is from this morning and the mom nursing is the same babies. They are already starting to get quills. I went by how the mom was reacting. The one didn't seem stressed at all. The other did, so I did handle the one but not the other. When I had hedgehogs years ago I would always handle them from birth on. Jane was just such a good mother it didn't stress her. I don't plan on handling Bianca's at all for a couple of weeks.
