Sad news - 2007/12/23 20:43 My beautiful, sweet girl Mojito had her first birthing experience and unfortunately it didnt go well. I came home from work to see if she had delivered and there was quite a bit of blood in her cage and one absolutely GIGANTIC stillborn baby in the nest. It was very sad....sad for Mojito and sad for the poor baby. I have to say that this baby was as big as a typical 2 wk old. I am amazed that she was able to deliver it without losing her life in the process.
So anyways, we are kind of sad here at Pierce's Pogs tonight and could use some good thoughts for Mojito

Re:Sad news - 2007/12/23 23:31 I am sorry to hear about the loss of Mojito's baby, but glad to hear that she is doing ok. I've seen some big still born and it is really hard and disappointing when it happens. Hopefully her next litter will go better.

Re:Sad news - 2007/12/24 09:33 Thanks all for the well wishes. Mojito looks good. I just went out to the room to check on her and she seems to be fine. Hopefully we will have better luck with her next breeding (we will be waiting a while though).
