albino + chocolate - 2008/01/31 08:35 just out of curiosity... what would the chances be if you mix a albino and a chocolate... that you'd come out with another albino? or an albino with another albino... O.o Proud Mother of...

Re:albino + chocolate - 2008/01/31 20:14 Hedgehog color genetics aren't that simple, unfortunately. You could end up with an albino in the litter. You could end up with NO albinos. Or, you could end up with ALL albinos. Without knowing the color pedigree of the parents, there is basically no way to make a good reliable guess. Breeding two albinos together gives you a very high chance of getting albinos in the litter, but not a guarantee. I have gotten all albinos from a standard x standard pairing before.
