Re:request.... - 2008/04/26 15:09
I have played with some of the translators (like babelfish, etc) and while they help give the basic idea of the text, some of the translations are WAY off. As in, did you know that in some language (Spanish maybe?) if you translate a sentence including hedgehog into the language and then back to English, you end up with a sentence about sproket wheel? Don't ask me why........
I am working on the text issue.... I have it a TINY bit fixed. I can post a FAQ translated into Thai ( http://www.hedgehogworld.com/content/view/139/40/ ) but I can't get the title to allow me to use Thai characters. *sigh* The text in the FAQ isn't perfect, apparently some of the words are broken up so th at th e word s aren t act ual ly in one pei ce. Obviously irritating, but at least it is a step in the right direction!!!!!!!
I have some ideas on how to make our site more language friendly, but since they depend on volunteers translating, it is going to be one slow step at a time.
As far as the other request, I will be discussing this with our staff team, and will see what we can do to make things more clear. Thank you for your suggestion! We are always willing to listen to suggestions from our members on how to make the site more user friendly. We will do our best to implement suggestions where we can. Becca
