Newbie on board - 2008/03/12 12:44 Hello everyone, new hedgie owner here. I got a 9 month old chocolate pinto yesterday, still haven't named her yet. I'm sure you will see me around alot asking lots of questions.
I'll get some pictures a little later, I'm working on getting her into a temporary larger cage right now.

Re:Newbie on board - 2008/03/12 13:04 Hi Gail!

Welcome to the forum.

I am still a fairly new hedgehog owner, I got my first one 6mths ago, but am already hooked. There are loads of veteran hedgie keepers here that will be pleased to answer all of your questions, so ask away!

Look forward to seeing some pics of your new addition soon (hint, hint... ).

Re:Newbie on board - 2008/03/12 14:07 Aww how cute! She looks a lot like my hedgie Tweetle that I have only had for about 3 weeks! A lot of us are new hedgie owners, so don't feel like you are the only one!

People here are a lot of help and I am exited to see you around the forums!

I think the strangest thing here so far was the idea to put the maxi pad on the wheel. Then there's the hedgie bag that looks like underwear...

REGARDLESS. This is a fun place to be with lots of great people, welcome and congrats on your new baby! One of my hedgehogs has a little spot like that on her side, but as she quilled it became smaller, and now my newest baby also has one!

Re:Newbie on board - 2008/03/16 20:45 I don't exactly remember where it was posted, but I made mention of how I had made some hedgie bags that turned out looking like panties. And then someone else (was it Jick??) ended up making a bag that looked just like a pair of briefs before picking up his new hog at Kelly's place some months ago. The pics are pretty funny! I wonder how successful those were with the hogs *~*Steph*~*

Re:Newbie on board - 2008/03/19 23:58 Oh sheesh... I almost forgot about that myself. I still have it kicking around somewhere but I tend to not use it on a regular basis. I also made a valentines day heart shaped hedgie bag with ruffles and also embroidered with "i love you" on it. But again... not really the safest things to let a hedgehog play in! Check out Ham's Blog !

Re:Newbie on board - 2008/03/20 23:21 now a heart shaped hedgie bag is something i definitely want to make! except without the embroidery, as i'm not that skilled. but i'd love to see a picture of yours...
