I travel a good bit with my hedgehog. I haven't yet with my new baby Harley but my previous girl, Isabel, traveled with me everywhere! My mom and boyfriend have hedgehog cages and set ups at their homes so all I need is a bag of food and the toys. I seat belt a ten gallon fish tank into the car, fill the tank with Carefresh, a toilet paper tube and I have a water bottle and food dish I put out when I stop or when the hedge has been a bit without access to food or water. I keep a small towel handy in case I need to lay it over the tank to keep out bright sunlight. And I keep the radio down low, as little hedgie ears are sensitive.
They are so easy to travel with. I've driven 20 hour trips with no problems. Though I have had fast food drive through workers spot the hedgehog then ask if they can PET her!
