Large chunky aspen bedding? - 2007/06/11 22:34 I just got a large bag of bedding for Quentin. It's aspen bedding and is labeled as no aromatic oils and doesn't seem the least bit dusty at all, but it is in very large shavings. There are even some little bark chunks in there. Could this pose a hazard to him or at least be uncomfortable for him? He seems to like it, but is a bit confused at it. Jessica

Re:Large chunky aspen bedding? - 2007/06/12 05:49 With the pine and aspen, sometimes you get a batch that's like that. I usually just pull out the really big pieces. Ann

Re:Large chunky aspen bedding? - 2007/06/12 08:52 Well the thing is that they are all big pieces. Like 1cm square or so and larger. Just wondering if that is too big for my little guy to feel comfortable in?

Re:Large chunky aspen bedding? - 2007/06/12 09:51 I use aspen and it seems to work out fine with me. But my hedgie is a bit older so..but it should work fine.

Re:Large chunky aspen bedding? - 2007/06/12 10:53 Quentin should be fine. Thats normal for a bag of aspen. I used to use Aspen only until I started getting a larger herd of hedgies then it was cost effective for me to move onto pine. Self proclaimed Hedgehog Addict
