pine litter - 2007/11/03 23:32 hullo-

i've been using supershavings, but sadly its super expensive and i cant order it online unless i wanna pay DOUBLE the cost of what i normally pay. i was thinking of switchign to a new brand, but i wanna stick with pine or wood shavings because they really do reduce the smell, look nicer, and magellan did NOT take well to carefresh ultra. i saw two other brands, premier pet and LM animal farms, does anyone know if those brands are kiln-dried pine shavings? i didnt see it say so anywhere on the labelling, and when i tried calling the number on the back of the package for premier pet, i was connected to some porn hotline

Re:pine litter - 2007/11/04 05:13 They are both dried and should be fine. You may also want to try aspen in your search for a new bedding.

From LM Animal Farms site:

Top quality, frequently changed bedding is also critical for a healthy, pleasant living environment. LM ANIMAL FARMS™ provides a variety of bedding types, from red cedar to ponderosa pine to chlorophyll pine. These products are of the highest quality due to our screening, drying and filtering processes that remove dust, foreign particles and maintain a dry uniform consistency

From Premier pet site
(yep-I went there expecting porn but got the info you needed instead)

Is your bedding kiln dried?

All of our pine, cedar, aspen and paper beddings are kiln dried to ensure minimum moisture content for maximum absorbency, as well as to kill any bacteria present.
