bedding - 2008/01/10 02:24 soft sorbent is very good. absorbent and dust free. one bedding that you should stay away from is total comfort. it is probably one of the more dusty beddings out there. i've had a lot of rats get respiratory problems after using it. yesterdays news is also a good litter for small animals. well at least it works well for ferrets. there are some aspen pellets at petco (can't remember the name) i've never used it, but it seems like it might be worth a try. Re:bedding - 2008/01/10 07:54 Not a problem! We all do it occasionally.
I've been looking at the soft sorbent as a potential suggestion to customers, but am a little 'weirded out' by the scented ones with actual lavender, or rose buds, mint in them...seems like those would encourage eating of the bedding, which could lead to impaction. Have you tried the scented ones, or just the plain?

Re:bedding - 2008/01/10 17:26 just the plain. i try to stay away from any bedding that's scented. i can't imagine the combination of rose buds or lavender and poop would smell very nice. well that and i'm highly sensitive to fragrances. Lisa

Re:bedding - 2008/01/10 23:38 I agree, I would stay away from any scents or colors. While they may be appealing to people, I feel of the poor hedgehog who has his nose in it all day.
