dog/cat heating pad - 2007/09/17 10:27 At the moment I use a snugglesafe disc for Hector, but I really want to buy a heat pad for him so that I can leave it on all of the time in the colder weather.

Unfortunately the only human heat pads that I can find in the uk have safety shut off after a certain amount of time, which obviously are of no use.

I found this dog,cat heat pad on ebay, do you think that it would be ok for a hedgie? I would use it under the cage.

Re:dog/cat heating pad - 2007/09/17 11:55 It seems to be ok - since it's made for dogs and cats, I would think it would be fine under part of the hedgehogs' cage to maintain a reasonable temperature.
Also - many of the human heat mats in addition to having the auto off feature have an override to 'stay on', typically, you'll have to read the actual heating pad box to find out whether it has that feature or not. Stasi
