Igloo size - 2007/08/21 18:03 What size igloo should I get for Ms. Pickles? She is full grown and probably weighs between 1 & 2 lbs. ~Erin~

Re:Igloo size - 2007/08/21 21:03 There seem to be four sizes that I have seen in pet stores- ones just big enough for dwarf hamsters, ones big enough for hamsters/small rats, ones big enough for guinea pigs, and then ones that are huge and look the size of a full grown rabbit at least- they look like a "double igloo" of sorts. We go with the guinea pig sized one *~*Steph*~*
Cotton, Noodles & Cocoa (hedgehogs), Kuruku & Kimiko (kittehs), Sushi & Lily (Ryukin Goldfish), Rosy & Ruby (beagle sisters), and Archie & Rocky (African Dwarf Frogs).

Re:Igloo size - 2007/08/22 02:08 I agree with the above statement. The HUGE one is an odd shape and not round, I use the regular round guinea pig igloo. Jessica

Re:Igloo size - 2007/08/22 04:28 I usually order the regular size (10.5" W X 12" D X 6.5"), which is the guinea pig size, I believe. I do a lot of ordering off the internet and I believe Petco.com offers the SuperPet loo's in Mini, Regular, & Giant. Self proclaimed Hedgehog Addict

Re:Igloo size - 2007/10/04 16:13 You could also try using a upside down 1 gallon ice cream bucket and cut a hole in the side. If you wanted to I suppose you could remove the handle.

Re:Igloo size - 2007/10/04 16:55 Willow has a small one right now, not the smallest, but not the guinea pig sized.

I thought it would last her awhile but since she is pregnant she has almost outgrown it. But she still likes to hide in it during the day when she isn't in her nest box!
