catnip? - 2008/03/17 18:26 I was curious about what Satin would do with a little stuffed animal friend, so I went out and got one. It's a cute little polyester mouse with polyester & catnip fill. I didn't notice the catnip until I was home and it started me wondering. Are cat toys that have catnip in them okay for hedgies to play with?
Given how cats play with these things, I'm pretty sure hedgies wouldn't do any more damage to the toys (eg, rip them apart, try to eat the insides, etc...) than cats do. But I dunno... maybe catnip is like crack to hedgies and she'll tear right through it and choke on the stuffing??? Anyone with experience in this sort of thing? Should I give it to her?

Re:catnip? - 2008/03/17 22:31 I have a catnip toy in my hedgies cage, and she doesn't even touch it. But then she doesn't really touch most toys. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=106956777

Re:catnip? - 2008/03/18 06:23 Catnip toys are fine for your hedgie. Catnip is just a kind of mint so they may annoint with it at first because of the smell. Ann
