Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/07/18 13:27 Was holding Midnight (my pinto female) and she looked at me and I saw that her nose is black then has a red strip in the middle and then black on the other side of the red strip. Has anyone ever seen this before? Does it mean anything? I have included a pic showing what I mean. Thanks Dani Marshall Kansas

Re:Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/07/18 14:49 Pepper has the same thing...but not quite as red as that. I just assumed it normal as most animals have something similar. Dogs are really noticeable at the centre of their nose...it looks kind of worn looking....just assumed it was from nosing up against so much stuff that they smell....that's my thoughts.

Re:Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/07/18 15:07 I can't really tell if it's normal or something to worry about from the picture.

Is it new or has it been there awhile? Is it bleeding?

Re:Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/07/18 16:49 No its not bleeding and it use to be all black but now it is black and pink/red. Is this normal? To have a nose change colors during quilling? Dani Marshall Kansas

Re:Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/07/18 18:52 No. I'm going to guess that she was rubbing it raw on something.

Re:Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/08/05 15:36 What size wheel do you have? May be she is rubbing it on the wheel....that's my only guess... Emily

Re:Red Strip on Nose? - 2007/08/05 18:28 Actually,
I do have the bucketwheel in the playpen but I agree with Kelly I think she rubbed it on something not sure what but she was free roaming before I noticed so I am not sure.
