New Hiding Spots - 2004/11/22 23:38 Well since I was using shoe boxes and wanted to switch to something plastic so it lasted a little longer but found the pigloos to take up too much room I finally found something that works great and doesn't cost a thing if you already use it. My husband loves dry roasted peanuts and buys the big plastic party container. Instead of tossing out the container like I normally do I washed it out and gave it to JP. He fits and he stretches out inside. It is too cool. I now have to wait for my husband to finish his darn peanuts.

Re:New Hiding Spots - 2004/11/23 22:26 LOL Good thinking! For the record, plastic ice cream buckets work well too, you can just cut a hole in the side of them for an entrance.

Re:New Hiding Spots - 2004/11/24 00:19 Sadly we only get the cardboard cartons. Now I live with the Carb police so ice cream is gone...BOO HOO!

It took me some time to come up with that idea too!

Re:New Hiding Spots - 2004/11/29 06:24 Has anyone tried those cardboard tubes with the fluff inside? I've seen them at most pet stores.

I have not tried them since the ones I have seen are the size for a hamster. My pogs would probably try to squeeze inside them and get stuck.

Re:New Hiding Spots - 2005/07/18 22:17 I found a large tube with fluff in it, and my hedgie loves it. She gets inside and rocks back and forth, very cute

Re:New Hiding Spots - 2005/07/19 16:13 There was a discussion on one of the other boards that I was on a long time ago that the fluff tended to be chewed on by many animals and had caused blockages in some. I believe a hedgehog was one of the ones that died from a bowel obstruction.
