Re:Ball trouble - 2005/09/28 12:09
Once your hedgehog gets moving, things will move through his or her system. Balls and wheels are prime places to poop. One thing you can try is putting your hedgehog in the sink for a little bath or in the tub to just run around and move things through.
Now about your cage, if it is too small for a wheel it is too small for your hedgehog. Please up size your cage as soon as possible. Hedgehogs need to run and will run 10+ miles per night in the wild. Since your hedgehog has neither a wheel or enough running room, s/he isn't getting enough exercise (even though you have him out in the ball for a little while, it is not enough). A sterilite bin makes a good cage if you get a 90 qt or larger, and it is extremely affordable.
