Opps two many hedgies in one place - 2007/07/18 11:46On July 15 I had twilight playing in the HUGE hedgie playpen (while I cleaned out her cage)that I got from the Expo when all of a sudden I heard some squeaking. Well you guessed it there were two hedgies in the playpen and one of them turned out to be Wishbone (my male) Appearly he fell asleep in the runaround ball and my husband "trying" to be helpful placed him into the playpen since he knew I was cleaning cages. Sooo I pick up Twilight out of the playpen and have Travis place Wishbone back in his cage. Well as I am holding her she starts pooping nothing new there but then out came some "whitest cloudly discharge" from below her bottom. Well at first I was just hoping it was a "girl" thing but nope after talking to Becca last night it appears that would have been from Wishbone. Sooo we are going to be watching Twilight for pregnant signs. Will keep everyone posted on if anything appears to develop. On another note Addie and Wishbone have been "roomies" for the last day and half (as clearly he is ready to do his big boy job ). Although I have heard a lot of squeaking having seen any mating yet so will keep fingers crossed there as I would LOVE for ADDIE to be pregnant, just not Twilight (at least not for a couple more months).

Sounds like it's time to educate the hubby on hedgie mating habits *~*Steph*~* Cotton, Noodles & Cocoa (hedgehogs), Kuruku & Kimiko (kittehs), Sushi & Lily (Ryukin Goldfish), Rosy & Ruby (beagle sisters), and Archie & Rocky (African Dwarf Frogs).
