Okay I got a couple of shots when Addie came out for a LOONNGGG drink and some mealworms. I didn't get anywhere near the cage so they don't show the babies too much but it appears I may have more then 4 and I am pretty sure I saw like 3? pink/purple ones and a couple that were BRIGHT HOT PINK . Anywhere here are the pics and let me know what you all think.

To answer about everyone:
Wishbone (the Male) is a Choc Chip who can carry double white
Addie(Algerian Dark Cinncott Snowflake) the first momma
Midnight(Dark Gray Pinto) No babies but strange noises are being heard so?
Twilight(Brown)Big and nice and round cant really roll into a ball anymore and when into her nest box for the first time this afternoon
Starlight(Choc Chip) Is hiding in her nest box and again are hearing weird noises but no squeaks yet

Today is day 50 from July 6th and the only momma is Addie who was bred to Wishbone on July 17th and who had we believe 4-5 hoglets on Aug 21st.
Since no one else has had babies I am guessing that either he was too young or just didnt have any luck mating with Midnight/Starlight/Twilight on the 6th,
Now due to the mix-up July 27th where Midnight and Wishbone got left together it is possible that she is still infact pregnant and could have hoglets within the next 6-20 days as he was mating her when we found them and although we seprated them as soon as we could we will continue to watch her for the next 26 days.

But I am very relived as Addie was the one I really wanted to breed and Midnight at least is the oldest being born in April (still wasn't planing to breed her yet but better her then one of the younger ones born in May). So will keep everyone posted on if she had hoglets and Addie is being a wonderful mommy I hear no real squeaks from the hoglets and she is never out of the nest for more then 5 mintues. Will conferm number after they are two weeks old.

PS Have moved Midnight and Twilight out of the closet and back into the quiet corner that they had been in although due to having gotten everyone larger cages it is Addie and Starlight in one quiet corner and Midnight and Twilight into the other quiet corner.

Just curious, how old was he at the time when you say he was too young? *~*Steph*~*

Although he bred with Addie the week of July 17-21 so clearly by then he wasn't too young Dani Marshall Kansas

Today was my first day at my new job and when I got home (at 8pm) I was doing a quick check on all hedgehogs and saw that as normal Midnight was laying next to her nest box (between the nest box and side of sterilight container) and was like okay and then she moved and saw PINK THINGS and looking closer saw sure enough there are baby hedgehogs. It looks like 3-4 maybe more hiding in the bedding but as I took the lightbulb out of the ceiling over that area a couple of days ago to make it easier that when babies were born of not shocking momma hedgies with sudden light I don't have an exact count. I gave her more food and placed some mealworms on it and she came out to eat the mealies and I saw(i think) 3 babies. And so far so good Addie babies look great and I am looking forward to handling them for a few moments on Monday

Click here to see the profile of this user 		Re:Midnight/Starlight/Twilight pregnant??? - 2007/08/30 22:48 well Midnight was acting a lot different then Addie and I figured it was due to her being younger as she keep trying to climb into my hands (this is normally my huffy girl) so tonight I picked her up and petted her and told her what a good mommy she was and when I went to place her back into the cage I noticed that the two babies(which were all I saw) were on two oppisted sides of the cage and the second was in the place between the hiding hut and the side but on the side where there is no room for Midnight to get there so after I rubbed my hands all over her expectally around her stomache and face area I set her down next to the food dish and moved the two babies together in the corner. She then finished eating and walked over and got into the nest and started nursing the two hoglets. Also I got another picture of Addie 10 day old hoglets one of which is very dark and have a white strip going up it back. I really hope that says as it is really cool. But here is the picture of the two I could get in the picture. You can see the strip really good. Although for all I know all hoglets could do this and I am just a newbie.
