sign of affection?? - 2007/08/07 21:40 Hufflepuff has picked his favorite place to poop - on my husband! Is this some weird bonding or is he just less comfortable with him?

I don't know about anyone else here, but I can't poop if I'm uncomfortable!

It's simply amazing! Best purchase ever. We also upgraded to a king size to fit me, hubby, and up to 4 cats (So now when Willow sleeps next to my face, his butt isn't winking at Sean).

The mattress is made of latex and its feel is similar to the temprapedic, but it's the 'next new thing' in mattresses. There are no coils, so there is no bounce or squeek. I don't feel Sean moving around at night.

Re:sign of affection?? - 2007/08/09 12:08 I bought a select comfort bed in 2002 - king size - my sister calls it the South Forty. I don't sleep well anyplace but do like that it adjustable for me - John just loves it.

Every night we put a flannel sheet atop our bedspread and let P-k loose - she just loves having all that room to run loose on - she is so funny to watch jaunt across her private playground. She'll put a toilet paper tube on her snout and run to the edge and shake it off onto the floor then go get another tube.

Is the king size bed the best thing in the world or what?!?!?!? We got the same type of mattress and LOVE IT. By the way, I love the visual of Willow "winking" at Sean....rofl..hahahahahh

Re:sign of affection?? - 2007/08/18 16:17 When I first read this post... I laughed.

WELL, after having Ava for a week now, she has pooped on her daddy at least five times AND peeded him at least twice. As for me I'm zero and zero.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I think it is because he takes her out later at night when she'd normally be on her wheel pooping and peeing anyway.

Re:sign of affection?? - 2007/08/18 17:59 It's been almost 2 weeks and Huffle's favorite place to go to the bathroom is still on my husband. He only goes on the wheel, on Dan, or on me. We've been waking him up when we get home from work (around 4) and he'll run around us for a while, pee on me and poop a few times on Dan, then run some more. Then we put him back in his cage and he eats a little and then goes back to sleep. It's our daily routine now.

Re:sign of affection?? - 2007/08/29 11:08 My hedgie seems to do her business either when she's wheeling or while being held. She'll use her litter box during the day - just not at night.
At night, when we take her out for playtime, she runs from one hand to the next, pausing and pooping, then running some more, pausing to poop, running, pooping, running... We've tried setting her back down so she'll go on her own, but she won't. She just won't go unless one of us is holding her over her litter box. She'll just save it all for her wheel... which turns into a super-giant mess by morning! ...and then there are her little footprints across the liner.
At this point, we've given in and the "poop-run" has become one of her/our rituals every night.

Re:sign of affection?? - 2007/08/29 21:32 LOL... their poop to body ratios is crazy! Rabbit poop is smaller... heck my Chihuahua mix has had smaller poops than Ava Ava's mom!

Re:sign of affection?? - 2007/08/30 09:33 the reason why I decided to get a hedgehog is because they pee and poop less than a rabbit - I swore our Wascal pooped three times as much as what I fed him (not realizing that the bedding he was consuming was adding to the daily mountain). The hedgehog ratio is truly puzzling.... you give them a tablespoon of kibble a day and maybe a worm as a treat and the volume you clean up seems to exceed that. And Murphy's law goes into effect whenever you put them on your couch or bed without the sheet down is when they will surely let you know how happy they are to be out and about!
