super shavings and splinters! - 2007/08/14 14:51 hey all-

i know that super shavings is a popular choice of bedding since a lot of ppl on the message board have discussed it and its merits. I had decided to get some for my hedgie, and as i was setting up my cage today, i noticed there were sme BIG splinters amongst the shavings. as there were quite a few of them, i figured they would be present in most ppl's bags. I got a 10 L bag. Are they dangerous at all? some of them were about as long as my pinky (teehee winkie.) (2-3 in?) and seemed rather sharp...should i jsut pick them out? what do other ppl do?

OMG, you just made my night!

To answer your question, if they are long and soft then they are fine, but if they are long and hard then you will want to remove them because they could cause trouble. *shakes head and walks slowly away* tut tut tut

Oh, the rude, crude, and completely Kelly-like responses that could be made to THAT one....... But since I am good, and not Kelly, I will chuckle quietly, and keep my rude thoughts to myself.
