Re:nails - 2007/08/17 11:22
we decided to try and do Max's back nails, I feared taking him to the groomer this soon would agitate him.
Anyways, his nails are awful - I don't think they've been done in a year. I noticed he was missing a nail on one of his toes and I think he has really sensitive and thin skin there. And wouldn't you know that when clipping another nail the corner of the clipper must have brushed against him and caused the nailless toe to bleed.
It didn't bleed a lot, I feel really bad and what to do what is best.
What a time we had trying to get that foot back to put some styptic powder on it. Maybe I should just put him in the sink for a footy wade with peroxide (peroxide does not sting) to clean out the cut and then put neosporin on it. It's probably okay as it, I'm worried about it getting infected. He's hiding in the cozy and probably won't come out for twelve hours so he won't be running through waste. Anyone got any suggestions if I need to do anything or just let it be?
oh, and we used baby nail clippers, not those big clunky animal claw clippers. They worked really well for P-k but she behaves better for daddy.
