how old? - 2007/12/20 14:46 my little baby is about 8 weeks old. my question is how old should he be to start adding new things like worms and crickets and such to his diet. i have only had him a few days and his hedgie food is the same but the dry cat food is different. it has not caused him a problem and he chooses the cat food first. i have an other animal that eats crickets so to give him one, two would not be a big deal, im just not sure how much food is too much. will he just eat till it explodes if it is something he really likes or will he stop when he has had enough? how often should he eat these bugs if he is old enough now. i just dont want to turn him into a pooping machine because its fun to feed him! my hedgehog not your hedgehog!

Re:how old? - 2007/12/20 15:25 For treats, use sparingly. I usually give my hedgie about 2-3 mealworms per night. Treats are like us eating candy. It tastes good, but most treats do not really have too much mutritional value. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=106956777
