Re:I learn something new everyday - 2008/01/24 07:36 I'm thinking of starting a mealworm farm since my gliders, hedgie and lizards all eat them...thanks for the tip about paper. As for the different wheel coverings, I'd never have considered maxi pads. Hmmm. I'm going to try the Glad stuff, though.

The mealies will also like a lettuce leaf to eat and hide under. Don't overdo it though cause you don't want the farm to get too moist.

Re:I learn something new everyday - 2008/01/27 12:14 Thanks for looking into it Lori, I guess i'm going to have to keep scubbing the wheels everyday.

I love shopping online but don't tend to get anything big or bulky from the U.S because of the shipping price. For example I would love to buy a bucket wheel (can't get the materials to make one myself) but with shipping it would be far too expensive.

No problem Thistle!I was lucky I got my baby a week after the original post about using the stuff!! Don't give up the ship, there are always the maxi-pads or mini pads or whatever they originally suggested (got any warehouse stores over there??)
Hey someday I'll have my dream trip to scotland and I'll bring over a bucket wheel and the cling film!! Too bad you don't know anybody traveling to the U.S.Imagine the customs guys opening a suitcase and there is 35 boxes of cling film!!
Maybe you could do a web search for Glad Press and Seal? You never know what may pop up!
