EDIT: no, its never cold around here! it's around 27 dec C. and that's considered cool weather

Re:vibrating hedgehog??! - 2008/02/06 12:18 Katherine,

Most likely Penelope was purring! Isabel used to do it when she was snoozing and Harley does it when he's sitting on top of a toilet paper tube he just finished tearing up.

Re:vibrating hedgehog??! - 2008/02/06 18:39 Huh...

to weird. Sometimes Ava does something similar when she's napping in my lap or right after she boroughs into the crook of your arm. You can see her quills move ever so slightly like they're vibrating and if you touch her you can feel her shake very slightly. Is that purring?

Re:vibrating hedgehog??! - 2008/02/06 21:02 Quentin sometimes does this in between puffs when I'm attempting to pluck him out from under his wheel or his igloo. I always thought of it as sort of an "uber puff" lol, sounds very strange too. Jessica

Re:vibrating hedgehog??! - 2008/02/07 04:26 I've had a few pogs do this and read that it means they are purring/vibrating because they are very content and happy .

About the "uber huff" Noodles does that sometimes when he is calming down from a huffle session! I always thought it was kinda cute. It's different though from when he is purring/vibrating, it's much more noisy (even though it's quiet compared to the huffing). I've never had Cotton or Cocoa do this- I guess it's just a Noodles thing
