Quilling - 2008/02/28 19:49 I've noticed tonssss of quills laying around Scouts cage every morning when I'm cleaning up her midnight madness parties. She's not been grouchy... phew... I was afraid I'd have to be a determined pet owner during this time but she's a little doll so making her loving mom's job easier!

I was wondering though how long quilling goes on for? Or does it depend on the hedgehog? She's about 11 weeks... I think I read somewhere that they go through a number of different quilling periods. Any info would be great!

Re:Quilling - 2008/02/28 20:05 I am a new hedgehog owner and I have the sam issue. Accept Tweetle is very grouchy sometimes. So I hope that it is just quilling. Congrats on your non-grumpy hedgie! **Mommy of Tweetle the hedgehog!**

Re:Quilling - 2008/02/29 06:48 Here's an article about quilling:
http://www.hedgehogworld.com/content/view/40/42/

It does depend on the hedgehog for how long quilling lasts and how grumpy they get during quilling. An oatmeal bath can help out, especially this time of year when their skin may be dry to begin with.
