Carefresh vs. Carefresh Ultra White - 2008/04/12 12:30 Does anyone think that there is a significant difference between the two? Do you think that it would be easier to spot problems (i.e. bloody pee) with the ultra white?

Just curious to what others may think!

Thanks!
Hopefully soon-to-be hedgehog owner!!!

Re:Carefresh vs. Carefresh Ultra White - 2008/04/12 13:43 I use the carefresh that is white (I am not sure what the official name of it is). Because it is white, I was able to spot my Spikey's pink tinged urine right away and I took him to the vet ASAP. I dont know about the other colors of carefresh (i.e. the blue or the browish color) in terms of spotting problems.

Good luck in getting a hedgie.

Re:Carefresh vs. Carefresh Ultra White - 2008/04/12 13:46 Ultra is definitely much softer and because it is a lighter color it is easier to spot dirty areas and problems like blood. Ann

Re:Carefresh vs. Carefresh Ultra White - 2008/04/12 17:43 Do they use bleach to make it white?

I know that for health reasons we here try to stay away from any products that have been whitened with bleach as much as we can. We use the brown coffee filters, etc.
