A few new pictures - 2006/07/02 18:48
I am always taking pictures of my hedgies. When you first get them out they are kind of shy and slow moving so taking pictures is easy. I have a little guy that has some growth issues so he right at 5 months and is only the size of a a 4-5 week old baby. He weighs between 150 and 155 grams. He shows some signs of dwarfism in his legs. He has very thin skin that you can see through and he has some quill problems. I have had him to the vet and he says that I could pay for a whole battery of tests and then it might show that yes he is a dwarf and there is really no treatment or I could just take him home and love him a little more than my other hedgies because he has a few special needs. So that is what we do. He is just so darn adorable that we are constantly photographing him. Since it is the 4th of July we took his seasonal picture.

Peter is what we call him, short for Peter Pan because he may never grow up. He has the cutest little fang teeth.

Here Peter is with Wendy, what else could we call his sister? She now weighs close to 400 grams. Well I guess that picture waas taken at too high a resolution and won't work on this website. Sorry, I will try to take another picture of them when later.

I love nothing more than to get on this website and hope that new posts will have pictures of other owners hedgies. They are just so cute and I am always curious to see other hedgies. It took me a while to learn how to post a picture but it was worth it so if you are reading this and have never tried to post a picture, try it.

Little Peter is adorable-thanks for sharing all your pictures. I walk by my camera a million times a day without taking any pictures so I'm impressed.

Peter is adorable! I can see how it would not be hard to give him the little bit of extra love that he needs!
Okay, I'm going to try to post a picture of Kumquat meeting my dwarf hamster, Pfeffernuesse (who yesterday morning became a daddy to seven little baby hamsters... darn pet store for swearing we had two boy hamsters...)

My digital camera has a place on the menu that says email. That means when you take a picture, it takes two. One at a high resolution and one at a lower resolution that is better for emailing. See if you have a feature like that! Then I download my pictures on the hard drive. Click on browse at the bottom. Find the date and the picture under that date that you want to use. My screen has an open button, click on that or click on your picture twice and it will attatch. To attatch to this forum you click next on the img. and it will attach to your message. That's how my stuff works, I hope it will help.
That is my Peter that she used in the 4th of July pictures on this website. I am so proud! My baby is famous. It was so cool to get online this morning and see him. Here is another picture that I forgot to give her.
But I forgot I already led off this forum with it. Sorry you get to see it twice.

if you have Microsoft Paint on your computer, open the picture with that. now go to Image, click on Stretch/Skew. Under Stretch type 50 in both Horizontal and vertical, click ok. usually i do this twice to one picture and it is small enough to post. good luck!

OMG! that is the cutest little hamster i've ever seen! i use to have teddy bear hamsters( don't know if that is the "official" name- the big fluffy ones)
