Sorry, couldn't resist. For those of you who are (appropriately) confused, there was a goofy little online thang that involved lots of badger badger badger badger, with some mushroom, mushroom, and occasionally a SNAKE! Kelly? Do you still have the link to that? I know I was disturbed....
Anyway. I haven't ever heard of the mushrooms.... I wonder if those are what happens if you compost hedgehog bedding, and it grows fungus? Hrm... I wonder if they are hallucinogenic? *makes mental note to grow some and slip it into Kelly's supper sometime.... Don't worry, I will bring a video camera, and share any good moments!*

I knew I could count on Becca for the correct reply. Badger Badger was my and Becca's first bonding experiance. When I Badgered and she Mushromed, we became immediate friends.

Here is a recipe for what I assume are Hedgehog mushrooms: Hedgehog Pizza with Caramelized Onions and Anchovy from the Sonoma County Mycological Society: : Ingredients
* 1 pound Hedgehogs, cleaned and broken - ewww!
On the other hand, from the UK comes:
Hedgehog spaghetti carbonara (serves four)
500g spaghetti, 30ml olive oil, 250g lean hedgehog, 1 medium onion (chopped), 125ml water, 60ml dry white wine, 4 eggs, 60ml double cream, 100g grated parmesan cheese · chop hedgehog into small chunks - double ewww!

YES! I loved it! My girls found and loved the Potter, Potter, Potter.......... one about 2 yrs ago. They do sound the same and are funny. We like that kind of stuff at our house.

I guess that you just have to think of it as a cultural thing. I know that in some places they think that it is disgusting that we eat cows. In other places they love to eat bugs, but here we think that is different an most people wouldn't do it. Here hedgehogs are pets and we love them, but I guess other places hedgehogs are not so lucky.

I LOVE it! But it's stuck in my head now too.  And in some countries people eat dogs and cats, soo... it's somewhat interesting how animals are viewed differently in other countries.
