Lavender Bath - 2005/07/08 13:12 I found the baby formula lavender bath that I used on my first raccoon to soothe her to sleep (no it did not work) and I have been using it on the hhs and boy do they smell great! I think it mellows them out also.

Re:Lavender Bath - 2005/07/08 23:38 That stuff DOES smell wonderful. I used to use lavendar baby bath on my girls when they were little. Didn't make them behave any better, but they at least smelled snugglable.

Re:Lavender Bath - 2005/11/04 14:52 I know this is an older thread but I use th same baby shampoo and some of my grumpiest girls calm down with it. I have also recommended it to my customers when their hogs are quilling. I've never gotten a bad review.

Re:Lavender Bath - 2005/11/05 08:28 Oh my goodness...I love lavender. The scent calms *me* down! LOL. Is this a regular baby shampoo? The gerber kind?

Re:Lavender Bath - 2005/11/05 12:19 I've used the Aveeno before, but I don't think mine had vanilla in it. I'm not a fan of lavender, but I think I might try it with my quilling kids. I will certainly recommend it to others. Kelly Sosik-Hamor

Re:Lavender Bath - 2005/11/05 23:21 We have lavender dish soap, lavender lysol stuff, lavender body soap in the shower..... anyone notice the trend? I'm DEFINITELY looking into this. We don't do a ton of bathing, but lets face it, everyone needs it sooner or later, and what better for them to be anointing with than something we enjoy smelling too!!!

Re:Lavender Bath - 2005/11/06 13:03 Oh give me a break Kelly, I'd been stuck in the van with the kids all day taking hhs to their new people in KC! My brain was fried. Let me try again... We don't give the hedgehogs a lot of baths. Is THAT better?

Re:Lavender Bath - 2006/03/10 04:03 Lather, rinse, repeat.

j/k

But seriously, use luke warm water and don't run it directly onto the face or in the ears. You also want to keep soap out of your hedgehog's eyes.
