What is your color preference? - 2007/02/16 13:46I just was looking at the post before this one and in talking to my kids we decided to ask this question.
What is your color preference and do you know why?
I have 2 daughters and between the 3 of us we all like different colors. I like the cinnacots My oldest daughter likes them very light even albino. My youngest daughter likes them dark. It is just something to think about but we fight (in a fun way) about color here a lot.
What colors are you drawn to?

Re:What is your color preference? - 2007/02/16 22:12I have always loved the look of the dark ones...hence we have Pepper who is an Algerian Chocolate. My husband on the other hand loves the Cinnicots...the only thing we agree on is that the albinos are a little creepy...has to do with the pink beady eyes I think. They are all cute though, but I guess it is weird that everyone kind of has their own favorite.

I am an equal oppurtunity hedgie owner. Re:What is your color preference? - 2007/02/17 15:39I'm no expert, but from the pictures I've seen I really like the darker hedgehogs (chocolate, grey, etc.) and the dark-eyed whites. I am not too fond of pale eyes and noses. My Fenway . . . diagnosed as an Algerian Chocolate . . . is a lovely color to me!

Re:What is your color preference? - 2007/02/17 18:58John likes salt and pepper, Saw a gorgeous algerian cinnamon when I accompanied someone on a rescue, wouldn't unball so i could see his face. I like the coats of the apricots, white and lighter colors but not the red eyes and pink faces, i prefer a little contrast as with Pippi I love the sweet appearance of her dark eyes, dark nose, and pink snout. Beware my little one of males with dashing dark masks, they make all of us swoon!

Re:What is your color preference? - 2007/04/16 11:22I would have to say I like the Cinnacots also. But I'm not fond of the ones with the ruby eyes. They have to be a nice medium or dark cinnacot, maybe with a light shading over their face. But, I love all hedgies, they are all cuter than anything. But my heart tends to melt a bitter more for the cinnacots!

If Kelly can breed an algerian black I would seriously consider driving all the way out there to get one....assuming it is a few years from now when I will hopefully have a car

BUT honestly... I like them ALL! Even Julie's albino, Funkhowser, was gorgeous and I don't usually like ruby eyes.
