Temperment testing - 2005/07/30 03:16 Is there a ideal age a hedgie must be to administer a temperment test? Are their temperments pretty much set really early on in their lives? Basically when I do end up bringing a baby home, I want her to be pretty friendly from the beginning since this will be my first one...so I was just curious...

Re:Temperment testing - 2005/07/30 05:04 Temperament can be tested at any time in a hedgehogs' life. However, doing it during quilling for young hedgehogs is a guaranteed way to depress yourself. A happy, social young hedgehog is more likely to stay social all of its' ife than a grumpy older hedgehog is to become social.

Re:Temperment testing - 2006/01/03 23:50 One thing I have to point out is that Damian is actually mellowing out and being social with me. I got him as an older hog and he lived up to his name. Now he uncurls and lets me hold him for a bit.
