The Neater Sex? - 2005/10/11 00:35
Recently someone told me that female guinea pigs and hamsters seem to be slightly cleaner then males. So I was pondering this as I was cleaning my hedgehog cages tonight and paying particular attention to who had the messier cage and who's cage seemed to be fairly clean.
Well, my males seem to have won the contest, hands down. They seemed to have the least poop smudged on their quills and stuck to their feet. There seemed to be less poop in their cages when compared to my unbred females.
Am I just nuts (that's rhetorical) or has anyone else noticed the same thing. I'd like to hear other opinions, both from other breeders and from owners (even if you only have one hedgehog).
