speckled skin?! - 2007/10/02 08:39
for some odd reason, i was looking at the color between Penelope's quills last night. i noticed that not all of the skin on her back where the quills grow is dark. i can imagine that if all her quills are gone, she's look like some marbled... thing. also, i noticed that interspersed with the dark banded chocolate colored quills, there are a lot of pure white ones. about 10% of her quills are pure white. does the skin underneath each quill determine the color of the quill growing out of it?
