Re:speckled skin?! - 2008/01/24 00:58 If the hedgehog is pintoed, there will be a pink patch of skin underneath the white quills of the pinto spot. For snowflakes, you won't see the pink patches because its only a quill here and there.

The "marbling" of the skin (I like that description) is just a pigmentation and is normal, and commonly an Algerian trait.
