Is your grumpy hog warm enough? - 2008/03/19 22:43 Last week I noticed my room was a bit colder than it usual and even though Harley didn't seem cold, he had been grumpy these past few days. I put a heating pad under the bottom of his house so he has a warm spot and now he is back to his old self. (It's on low and only on at night when I'm home, I don't leave it on and unattended.)

So it occurred to me that lots of new hedgehog owners who think their pets hate them might not realize their hedgehog MAY just be chilly. So if you are new to hedgehogs and your new pet is extra grumpy make sure he/she is warm enough. Of course if he's quilling all bets are off. But I hope this helps soon of our new folks. A warm pog is a happy pog.
