Does anyone restrict how much kibble their hedgies have in a day? And how's that going?
I give Harley about two tablespoons of kibble a day which he'll eat all or most of. I use the break down from my bag of Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul that two tablespoons is about 80-90 calories and I read on here some where that hedgehogs only needs 80-100 calories max a day. I'm not restricting his food as much as just being aware of how much he eats. He's at a perfect weight for his size right now. My first hedgehog Bartles, I got him back in 98 and the hedgehog food back then was designed as a treat for WILD hedgehogs who hibernate. I had no idea of this and poor Bartles became HUGE. So after that I've been really cautious. I hope that helps answer the question somewhat, I know it wasn't exactly what you were looking for.
