Exciting news - 2008/05/07 15:35
I'm taking in some new older hedgies. I was just browsing online at exotics for sale (with no intention of bringing any home) when I came across an ad for a few older hedgehogs that need a home with a small adoption fee. The ad was a little old, but on a whim I decided to respond. Well, they are still available, they are older females and the woman says they are shy, she got them from a pet shop and they never really came around. They are close to my house, so I'm going to pick them up on Monday.
After Gnarly I'm just totally in love with hedgehogs!! I can't get enough of these guys!
My question is, should I keep them quarantined to be sure they don't have mites? I already made a vet visit. And should special food be bought for them? Or can they eat the same thing as a younger hedgie?
I'm just so excited!
