Jo, what/how are you building your new cage? Is it a C&C?

What are the dementions on that cage? Also what do you have underneath to support it. I\'ve been thinking about making a cage like this for a while.

I\'m saving this to use as a reference. Haha. I really like it.
I\'m getting my hedgie soon and am working on setting up his/her cage. :]

The dimensions are 42\"x42\". Underneath the cage I have coroplast. It is like a plastic cardboard. My boyfriend got it at lowes where he works. I guess it was originally used for a huge sign.

and what kind of toys do you have in there?
I really like how yours is set up, by the way.

Omelette- No it\'s not a C&C set up.. i have way too many hedgies to do one of those very cheaply... rather 6 of those.... I\'m still going to use sterilite bins but they are going to be set up sort of like apartments in a way. I think it will be nice and work really well. We should be starting on it Saturday and as it starts to take shapes i\'ll try to take pics of it. I\'d describe it better but it\'s hard to describe.

Alinisigrr you may want to consider getting Mose a bigger and better wheel. The one in your photo looks like ones used for hamsters and gerbils unless the pic makes it look smaller then it really is. I think the best size would be a 12\" wheel and made of plastic instead of metal. I always worry about their feet getting caught.

My hedgie is not a climber AT ALL and never has been, so I do not have a lid or anything on my cage. She has never got out of her cage and I have had her now for a year and a half. She really isn\'t too interested in climbing or playing with toys. I have them in there in case someday she decides that she likes the toys. The toys that I have in there are: a tp tube, a cat ball, a cylinder cat toy, a pvc pipe, a ping pong ball, a catnip mouse, a hedgie bag, and a hedgie tent. There is also a wheel and her litter box underneath that. In one corner there is a hedgie hut too.
