LOL. It does look like a bird cage. Hadn\'t thought about that. I got the cage at the Petco I used to work at. They have \"manager\'s choice\" items which are things that are being discontinued. In order to get rid of them as quickly as possible, the company leaves it up to the managers to decide what price to sell an item. And since I was a manager I decided I wanted to pay 6 cents. That\'s how I also got two giant scratching posts for the same price.

I also realized that we have the same liner fabric, sweet! even though I wont be using mine any more because I need to make all new liners for his cage! I think I am just going to keep the other cage as a travel one, in case I go anywhere.

Really? I love the fabric! I left it a bit long (as you can see in the pic) so that way when I get another cage it will still work. Or at least in theory.

give me a couple more days and I should have my new set up done.. after many an argument over HOW we should build it I think we have most of the kinks worked out and we begin building tomorrow. I think my hedgies will be happy... I know I will! especially since I need it to be done and functional by Sunday! Pics will come as soon as I have it done!
